I like the story as far as it goes. Since the lady in the mirror is good, the atmosphere stays calm. Whenever I chanced upon a supernatural story, there are several sound and visual effects created by the author. I think that becomes useful if the spirit involved is bad or evil.

There is a witch behind all these events. This creates great curiosity. They do practice witchcraft not in an elaborate way as the three witches in Macbeth(thank God for that), but they still have a lot of interesting paraphernalia. I notice beads make an inseparable part of their ensemble.

Buster appears to be quite dynamic.
The woman with a twin mirror seems a bit of doubtful nature. May be she is an acquaintance of the original witch that played dirty with her adopted parents.

No doubt, your sequel will be interesting with the plot getting thicker.
