I am glad I read this because it is a very well written piece. The whole idea of following the light is such a beautifully religious angle but combining it with the sinister , waiting just to kill my soul and life, is a great idea you have. I noted no spelling errors and your use, or lack of use of capitals is a nice touch. I would suggest taking the capital away from the first "I" just to maintain consistency.
