You do a wonderful job describing your friendship from it's beginnings through the years to it's earthly end. I am sure your friend is smiling down upon you. I only noted one tiny error, or at least something I would fix. I believe the 'M" in Marines should be capitalized. That is the only eroor the rest is poor gold!
