I have always been drawn to a story by a good prologue. Finding an author who can grab your attention and transport you to another time and place, setting you into action and adventure with a mere few pages, is truly a treasure. I don't get a chance to pick up many books these days with most of my reading being online. Therefore when I do come across a tale of intrigue, mystery and adventure, I always consider it something special.


To begin with, I didn't bother to read the details of the prologue, until after I had read it, to know that this was a Sci-Fi piece. That wouldn't have deterred me from reading it, but it did add to the mystery as the action unfolded and left many possibilities open for what was in store.


Right away the reader is thrown into a fast paced action sequence that gets the heart pumping and the adrenalin rushing. The fight for survival is the first order of business and it is going to be a tough sea to navigate. Some will survive and some won't. We will have to open the book to find out.


I always enjoy an action packed book. Right away I feel drawn to this, even though I don't read much about the sea. This prologue captivated me from the start and leaves me wanting more, to the point that I am questioning on whether I should stay up and read, or go to bed. It is after all almost 1-AM over here.

This piece appears to fit the genre well. I don't know what kind of Science Fiction I am in for, but I can tell something is different and this is a journey I am interested in taking with the characters.

I didn't find any grammar, spelling or technical challenges in reading this. The prologue is very well written with attention to detail and the ability to transport the reader into the action.

This is a story I will have to check more into. Thank you for sharing this wonderful beginning.
