Hello Don
It is a pretty inspiring poem taken root from an inspiring song by the immortal Beatles.
No wonder it makes you think that someday hate may die. And what a wonderful day it would be for the future generation who would never know what color hatred is with love surrounding them all the way.
This structured poem sounds like a song itself with the refrain "it makes me think that hate may someday die."
Your poem prompts me to listen to the song and understand why it inspired you into writing this villanelle.
The fact that Lennon penned it under a star-studded sky with Lucy glowing in the high sky is interesting and inspiring as well. Anything and everything is possible with love. Material things do not matter, for, all you need is love, the star that guides us from sky to sky.
It is a pretty visual poem with transparent imagery. I can see the night sky with stars shining like diamonds. Isn't nature, the one noble aspect of our measured life to be filled with love?
Thank you for a wonderful poem!
Write on!
