Thanks for entering! This is a Simply Positive Review.  My goodness, this took me back to the days of riding bikes all day, to far off places and getting home for supper. It was always an adventure with "our gang" in the neighborhood. I loved the imagery you painted with your words. I could picture the characters and their personalities jumped right out at me. Observations: “Me, too, but isn’t it faraway?” [far away] “Yore just chicken.” [you're/you are] "We settled our bikes onto the tracks riding single file with Butch (in) the lead," "The mushy peanut butter and jelly sandwiches stuck to ( the)roof of our mouths." "We wondered back to claim our bikes still pressed against the only shady tree." [wandered] Fine use of the Journey Through Genres, travel prompt.
