Hello Twig

It is a wonderful tribute to your wife, the teacher. Teachers always hold a place of high regard and special affection in the hearts of students whatever be their grade.
Free verse is used to show the feelings of a husband for his teacher-wife who just retired from service. I personally think that a teacher never really retires. She/he is always sought after by the ever curious students, not necessarily a child or a boy but grown-ups as well.
"They have a desk and a chair
But they are seldom used
They are like bees
Going from flower to flower"
These lines show in apt figures, the way in which a teacher works. She is always busy instilling sense and wisdom into the hearts and minds of kids, her students.
Oh, yes she never expresses her feelings for the pupils, but we know she has overflowing love for them. she feels proud of their achievement and when a long gone student recognizes her on a busy street, she is delighted and fondly recalls her teaching past.

It flows well.
