This is love inspired by love for the Sudoku. Quite interesting. There are some who are attached to numbers like leaches do to things. I can understand this passion for I have three such people in my own house, hubby and two sons. It is not to Sudoku though. It is to other mathematical puzzles and problems containing algorithms and tax and stock predictions. I do sympathize with the wife, Sally, who had to assume the pose of a dark character,( like one wielding a knife with a sinister smile) to get him out of the snare of the Soduku.

Dialog is the center of attraction in this short story. She could finally get his attention and divert the action from Sudoku to the "bedroom in horizontal bliss" while music played in the background. I appreciate the visual impact of the incidents as the author describes them in a happy mean.
I see the connections and the meaning and purpose of the title.
