I love this piece, it really drew me in
and immediately
I was up high on a thin plank waiting to fall.

Characterisation

Reading it you become the character even though there are no physical descriptions of the person, you become them and know how they feel.

Descriptions I particularly liked

One by one my companions fell, their screams lost to the drifting, indifferent clouds. I'm alone now. Alone with my bitter thoughts, and numb fingers, watching as the soft blanket of vapor begins to lighten..

Desire coils like poison in my heart. I want the clouds embrace, to lose myself in the unknown mist. I want to fall.
