Hello Jess,

this is a fantastic poem that makes imaginitive and thoughtful use of the contest prompt. I love the Etheree form (or reverse Etheree as you've used here) and you've used it to great effect.

The poem flows well and, as is often the case with your work, is really effective read aloud. I love 'haunting, taunting' and your use of 'mind' and 'mine' in close proximity is great too.

You open the poem with a very striking, powerful image. The end is very effective especially with the last few line breaks giving added emphasis.

'Stark dreamscapes / of my slumbering mind' is a phrase I wish I'd come up with. Awesome.
