Hi Fran, I’m reviewing your blog, Curious Incidents of a Flailing Mermaid, for the WDC 14th Birthday Sr. Mod. Challenge.

Hooks: A hook is the best way to draw your readers in and make them want to continue reading. The things that hooked me were The title and description. Another hook was the fact that I had read a lot of your newsfeed posts, and I thought it would be fun to learn more about you.


Overall Impression: I was pleased that this blog started out as part of The 30 Day Blogging Challenge, and that you won 1st place. Good for you! I’m glad you decided to continue with the blog because I think I’m addicted now, and Curious Incidents of a Flailing Mermaid will be part of my morning routine while I slug down that first coffee, and a few white sticks that burn and smoke.
I hate to admit it but my favorite blog post was “The consequences of a broken foot!” Not that I enjoyed your pain, but the way you told the story was hilarious. It conjured up images of a medical sit-com I used to watch.


Final Thoughts: I admire the way you have dealt with all the misfortune you and Chris have endured since your wedding. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and experiences with us. Write On
