A sad story with a great many memories, grief and lessons to learn if one gives up on morals and ethics.
Ivy's sadness and the reasons thereof are shown in memorable human terms. It is so easy to fall victim to drugs and sleeping around. Dandy could have been the girl in his life. She seems to have fallen to bad company right from her high school days. Family might not even know of the tidings in her life. They grow up too soon losing the innocence of childhood and girlhood.
This story shows how a young girl's life is nipped in the bud due to drugs and sex.
Differences between the two sisters are evident. They come from the same background yet their chosen paths are so different. Could we blame it on the unseen fate?

Song breaks are appealing. Each song is put in reflecting the mood and feelings of Ivy. He is the observer and knows the events of the lives of the two sisters.

Life takes people to different paths. Acquaintance meet only to depart and go their various ways.

There is something spiritual too about this story

I like the narrative style.
