Hi Jenny,

My name is Lyn and I am doing a review for Simply Positive.

Please remember I am a writer, I know what it feels like to be reviewed! Please take what you feel is helpful and disregard the rest. Only YOU know what is right for your writing!

Title: The Invitation

First Impression: I would be delighted to say yes.

What I liked: How the author presented the invitation with her own nervousness with the moth to the light by the door and the new dress because she was ready to move past the sorrow. She hoped the recipient would be able to as well.

What needs your attention: Nothing, in my humble opinion.

Favorite Parts: I loved the reference to the moth attracted to the light by the door. I like the author's overall hesitancy with the party but asked anyway would the recipient consider it with elation. That says a lot to me about taking a chance with a gathering even though their is shared past sorrow between the guests.

Overall Impression: I thought it flowed well when read out loud, Normally, I like poems centered on the page but I think this staying to the side also enhances the sorrow and the fear of rejection. Very well done, Jenny.

Thank you for letting me read your work. It was my pleasure!
Lyn
