This is quite a sudden twist in the peaceful life of the couple. You have introduced drama quite agreeable within the short space of this story.

Though such things do happen, it took her this long to unveil her secret motherhood to Mark. He seems a great guy who could take his wife's young romance with a brave heart.
Judging by the way it ended, it seems in the order of things for the girl to return to her biological mother and her family. Lucky she found foster parents for her.

The beginning, middle and end are in place. It is a bit rushed. Perhaps there is a word limit to the story.
