Title: Was I Silly?

First Impression: The title drew me in because all of us have those moments. I knew exactly how you felt on a Saturday morning, who wants to get up early.

What I liked: The author acknowledges the guilt felt with not using her cycle. I feel the same way, mine sits in the family room. I haven't been on it since I fell. I miss it but I am nervous to ride it again. I am glad you polished her and took her for a spin.

What needs your attention: I think it would sound better if you said you took it for a spin instead of a drive. People think of cars immediately when you say drive. That's just a thought, you can take it or leave it.

Favorite Parts: Waiting at the light because it is red and feeling like everyone is watching you. I would have waited as well. I chuckled when the vegetable cyclist gave you his commentary, obvious he was thinking about the end destination and not his safety. I feel you did the right thing. However, I would have gone if the light had remained red even after he passed thru.
No, you are not silly, you are wise to be cautious.
