Hello, Newbie! Welcome to WDC *Leaf* .
This is a Simply Positive Review

*Pumpkin* How did your poem make me feel? I must say that my senses were driven by the sights and sounds of autumn. Since I am from New England, I not only picture the imagery you have painted with your words, I am seeing the beginnings of the color change where I live. I see the the gentle, cooler breeze as it weaves through the leaves, mostly green, now but with tops showing a splash of color. It won't be long now before they are in full high-fashion, fall regalia.

*Trees* I also ponder on the evergreens -- their ever-present green through the winter, many times blanketed in white, like giant tents amid the bare trees.

*Thinker* Quite a philosophical thought, the wondering of something that doesn't change, yet is surrounded by ones that change year after year. They are the constant. However, surprisingly enough, they do have their shining moments whereby they can bolster -- spring! Yes, the evergreen darkness is feathered with a much lighter green growth. It tells us that they are indeed evolving, not stagnant, albeit not to the dramatic effect that the deciduous trees experience in autumn. *Treefall*

Lovely piece, good philosophical brain food, and picturesque panoramas, all rolled into one poem.

*Treepine* Enjoyed these lines:

"Refusing to acknowledge the evolution of seasons
The trivial denial of autumn’s decay
They persevere without applause or gratitude"

*Vine1* Well done, nearly perfect piece of free verse poetry. I suggest a little breaking-up of some of the longer lines, to make it a smoother read, since punctuation is only used sparingly for questions asked. Thus, dividing the longer lines will place a pause there for the reader to breathe and take in the full picture.

*Leaf2br* There is something so bittersweet about autumn; it comes in with so much glory and leaves with so much decay.

Until next time--write on!
