Hello, fyn
This is a Simply Positive Review! *Leafy*

*Treefall2* Oh, I am so I happy I ran across this poem. It is the epitome of the arrival of autumn, with its profuse color burst and the waning and fading of the brilliancy as the days of October At the end of those brief weeks of eye appeal comes the dusk, the reminder that through the darkness the leaves fall each night, caught in the fall breezes, until they've disappeared.

*Pumpkin* I always enjoy the approach of autumn in New England. There is something that piques the senses as the foliage colors reach their peak. I think of baking apple pies, and cooking-up those rustic hearty meals that fill the autumn air and infuse the neighborhood with the richness of the season.

You did a spectacular job of weaving-in the prompt words listed above your poem. You were also very clever at avoiding the forbidden words. *Teao*

My favorite part:

"telling stories of season's growth
and denouement--
shuffled underfoot, scuffed,
raked across the soul."

Great job! Compact, yet filled with all the images one sees of autumn in the mind's eye. *Leaf2r*

Until next time--write on!
