I totally understand life with chronic pain. We don't get old alone, we carry the burdens of our bodies wearing out on us before we are ready to give-up our activities. Thus, we search for the right arthritis medication, do our exercising so we don't "freeze" in place and even boost our nutrition intake to be able to do the stuff we love.
Your poem hits the pain nail on the head. It's done in a realistic way yet there is some touch of humor woven into it, albeit there is nothing funny about pain, I believe injecting a humor into our lives actually helps with our outlook and interpretation of pain.
