Under the Sign of the Wolf [E] Inspiration - a wolf singing a silent song; a moon that never sets. (Form: Free Verse) |
Hello there, 🌕 HuntersMoon This is a Simply Positive Review. Wow, you captured my attention in a way that filled my mind with an image of a beautiful creature on his nighttime watch and his song to the moon. However, there is something so mournful about it also. The poetic lines painting the imagery, is of an actual picture of the wolf. The wolf being the subject is forever stuck in that moment in time. It is a captive, a moment in an artist's brush strokes, it's not free. The wolf remains watching the same unchanging moon in the same unchanging place. I love the vision of this poem as it filters into my mind, the essence of your poetic magical hand. My favorite verse: "A framed picture of a wolf, singing its silent song to a moon that never sets, stirs my own memories. The clank of spray cans, the sharp tang of paint, the movement as I watched deft strokes cage this creature of the night." Well done and a picture that's worth a thousand words. Quite a cleverly penned poem. Until next time--write on! Regards, WebWitch My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
