Hello there, Newbie! Welcome to WDC. *Writing*
This is a Simply Positive Review.

*Suitspade* You know something? I just loved the sheer grittiness of this poem. I loved the shape, the sights and sounds that accompanied me on this mind's eye train ride. I could feel the push and pull of people gathered --all in a rush to get somewhere fast. No attention is paid for our fellow man surrounding us, merely the need to find a spot in this silver tube and ride the subway to and from day after day.

Loved this line:

"filling my pores with the rancid residue of underground resting"

*Painting2* What an apt description of the feeling of being sardined into a can with barely any breathing room. Such is the subway ride experience. *Train*

You had some lovely assonance and consonance bringing a melodious rhythm along for the ride. Perhaps a little bump on the tracks in a couple places, but not enough to take the imagery out of the reader's mind. *Boxcheck*

Well done!

Until next time--write on!

Regards,
WebWitch
