Well, this has an air of mystery about it because of the element of " forbidden lover." This makes me question or doubt the morals and ethics of the love affair. However, love comes in many ways, some need the approval of society to make it free and not secretive. Of course, secrets are short-lived.
The style is good in the sense of language and usage. But then there is this much used and almost a cliche like expression of "fighting for rights". May be you can play it down to a more functional and simple term. It sounds more political than personal.
Rest of the sentiments are expressed well. It shows the right way to share love. Unless there is this commitment and trust, it is meaningless to be in a love relationship.
