Colors of autumn such as autumn leaves, frost painted grass, and grey clouds come through clear and transparent. The poet sees the season robbing nature of its dignity. There is a season for all stages such as elevation and depression. "Eternal cycle of seasons."
Philosophy of life shown through "metamorphosis" appeals to me. The poet juxtaposes song and silence, green and grey, stasis and dynamism effectively.

to hibernate,"
By looking at the autumn desolation I can imagine what is yet to come, and how different the scenario would be.

Imagery is visual and appeals to my mind.
