Well written memoir. More to come by the tone and setting of it. Differences in people and places and things are clearly brought to focus. There was good fellowship between people and children were more obedient. They enjoyed simple pleasures and thought a world of it. Mothers chose with care for the kids and house. Fathers picked up the groceries. It used to be a contented life. It is a well known fact that things have changed but for the worse. Kids know more than they should thanks to the TV and the Web. Knowledge is good, but too much too soon would leave them thinking that they have little or nothing to learn in their later years.
Farm life-
The little description is enough to show that agriculture was one of the preferred occupations as opposed to the ambitious people of today who scorn farming and would rather work in the glitter of the cities.
Family relationships-
There is warmth between the members of the family. Cousins could play and grew up together because they lived close, which is by far a rare thing now-a-days.
It would make a good reading if you could bring in a sequel to the above nonfiction item.
