Some things I Like:

You started with a nice hook and kept my interest until the end. The writing itself was quite lovely as well. A grammar snafu or two crept in there once in a while, but they did not hinder my enjoyment.

Observations & Suggestions:

You created a really strong character here. The voice wasn't terribly unique, but the details and phrasing did a fair amount of work, bringing him to life for me-- or nearly to life. Quite well done!

The story (for it is a story, which I appreciate after reading many character descriptions with little plotting) progressed very smoothly as well. The transitions were nicely done. Thanks for entering and good luck in the contest!
