A colorful poem on knowing self. The two parts of the poem depict self in two different phases, the first, innocent and unaware. The second, has awareness, joy of finding what takes you ahead in the course of life. The first phase is common to all, but the second is not within everyone's reach. It requires constant search, seeking after the aim and purpose of the gift of life. This comes only after one goes through the purgatory of painful experiences, unnumbered sad moments, undesirable encounters. Even after all that, it still requires humility and a great deal of contemplation to reach the end result.
"Rungs I’ve climbed, challenges conquered, the battles won brought peace. "
Imagery and description-
Both go a long way in conveying the content and the fact of turning the search light inwards. Then one can feel better, write better and live better.
A nice poem.
