That's an interesting beginning! Quite a unique perspective; I'm not sure I've read a story from the point of view of an angel in heaven before. I liked how you started with a bit of background and explanation for the readers to understand the setting and the characters, although it seems that the actual story will be the interaction between the main character and the people. There is also a hint that there will be a battle between the angels and dark angels, which sounds intriguing.

You approached the introduction with a bit of humour by showing the main character's anxiety. He was nervous about finding the right words and hoped he would be assigned to a job he would like - he was quite human in that respect, which made it easy for the readers to relate to him. Most of the story was written in first person but the last paragraph was in third person, and I wondered if that was an error or if it signified a shift in the story, a different part, perhaps a new chapter.

I understand this was a work in progress and it seems that you have the story already planned out. It would be interesting to see where you were going to take this and how the angel is going to be able to intervene in the story on earth when the people he is trying to help can't see him. Hopefully you are going to continue writing this story one day; you haven't added to it for a while but I hope that doesn't mean you have abandoned it because you have a good start here. *Smile*
