An engaging story from real life experience. The most unexpected of things happen when we feel carefree and quite on top of the world. Obviously, the thief must have don a clown's outfit just to outwit the innocent kids. So, the moral is to keep the money safe out of the reach of those with an eye on stealing money.
The hundred dollars must have been of significance because it comes from your grandma, whom you seem to love a lot. So the loss is all the more hurting.
It is ironic that the birthday started with your favorite breakfast but ended in tears. That's life I guess.
Aunt Carrie appears to be a special person who loves you a lot.
