Hello Elle - on hiatus

I love chancing across a piece of writing that speaks to me, and that I end up totally captivated by. This is a rare occurrence indeed but it happened today with your poem. I love the subject matter about how familiar landmarks from our past, our memories, our personal history can be stolen away in the name of progress. This is something I've experienced myself. We still have the memories though.

Your opening line is beautifully constructed. It grabbed my attention and you kept my attention throughout. I love your use of description. You do a great job of painting a picture for the reader with your words.

For freeverse this flows beautifully. On the strength of this piece I look forward to reading more of your poetry in the future.
