Lovely account in a very tongue-in-cheek way. Oh, let's face it -- this little story was funny! I enjoyed the historical-fictional account of the meet between George the III and Tom Jefferson, discussing the finer points of the Declaration of Independence. Tom was an eloquent writer, Adams a better speaker, but that's neither here nor there.
The fact is, I enjoyed this piece, loved the humor and could actually see the characters come to life before my eyes. Of course, they looked more like the actors who played them in a mini-series, but the point was well aimed and hit the target.
I wouldn't begin to offer a suggestion for improvement. It is what it is and it is done perfectly in my eyes. Thus, I will be highlighting this flash fiction in the 3/25, Comedy Newsletter. I do believe it's tea time?
