a teaching career [E] looking past across 33 years of teaching... |
This is a beautiful and enticing recap of thirty three fruitful years of teaching career firmly rooted in the mountain kingdom of Bhutan. I appreciate author's love for the land and folk of Bhutan which flows unabated through the length of this article. Nature, being our spiritual teacher, there's no denying her supreme place in man's life. I find nature worshiper and a lucid nature poet Wordsworth's experiences in the arms of nature, similarly fascinating and thought inspiring. Somehow, the author's vis-a-vis contact with Mother nature is just as magnetic. The gradual progress in the author's journey through life in Bhutan both materially and metaphysically gives us enough food for thought. One arrives at the end which is spiritually fulfilling and physically soothing. It is a wonderful and lofty thought to have bonded with the land, the people and especially the children of Bhutan. My first thought after reading this excellent piece is to visit Bhutan. Thank you for sharing this well-written prose, which at many places is more poetic than prosaic. Write on!
