I absolutely agree with the reflections expressed in this free verse. Highs and lows are common on the road of life. Just as you have said,
"That sometimes life is funny, but the running is what
makes us who we are today..."
Despite bumps and bruises, life is meant to get going, not stopping and letting depression and disappointment rule. That would be living death.
Suffering from problems of aging, health, failure and disillusion should be taken as challenges to our mental strength and positive attitude. It is in this regard the poet's mantra comes in handy and helpful.
"Everything will be okay. Say,
"Everything will be okay."
In our culture from India, there is a saying, which means, with a smile, you can grow crops even in arid plains and rocky soil.
This poem flows well with appealing imagery and positive energy.
