The dramatic events aboard the train went well with all the details shown clearly right from the entrance of the green eyed girl till she had blood on her hands. The only hitch as far as I sense is the abrupt end to the eventful night. What stopped the rescuer cop from following the girl with pleading eyes? Isn't romance part of the whole episode?
" “Ok, be like that, sugarpie, but I can see you’re upset and I’m gonna stay here and make sure you’re safe, ‘cause a girl like you shouldn’t be out ..."
The reader anticipates more than mere words of praise and chivalry.
Characters are clearly shown and they play their roles well. The villain with a shaved head with a bunch of hooligans as his henchmen, the brave cop, the girl in distress who suddenly turns brave and kills the trouble maker with an umbrella and the cops who make a timely appearance- are all impressive.
A moving train for fight and murder is a well chosen setting.
