Unlike Dickinson's hope, which is a "feathered thing" this poet's hope has several other aspects besides feathers, and I might add this is no ordinary bird but the very mythical bird, for it rises from ashes. Great metaphor for hope.
"I've seen hope and hope has feathers
One for every step towards success"
Imagery-
Imagery is attractive because the metaphors used are colorful like "stained glass". The heart, soul and smile of this "person" seem to ignite hope for the poet. Depth of emotions are brought out quite appealingly.
Structure-
Stanzas are interesting as they start with the same line with a variation of subject. There's no particular rhyme scheme yet the rhythm takes the reader along the flow.
"She has feathers in every shade of blue, yellow, and red
Proof she has risen from the ashes"
It flows well.
