This story of loss and love is told quite naturally. The thoughts and emotions expressed are realistic.
Structure-
The story is told by altering the past and present. Bailey's love story happened in the most romantic way and they lived happily till the unfortunate happened and Jake passes away.

The beginning of the story is excellent, for it contains some facts that show a person hit by misfortune. What I like about this section is the way Bailey prepares for the journey. Her heart is full of past memories and her present zeroes in unbearable grief.
"I tried to calm myself down and wipe the tears from my face. But, it seemed as though the harder I tried, the worse it was. Every memory replayed in my mind like a broken record."

Narrative style-
The story is told from the first person point of view. Bailey takes us through her life till the present with focused description of important occasions like her meeting with Jake, their love, marriage and happy years with a sudden sad break.
Bailey-
truly a heroine who does her duty and feels the spiritual reunion with Jake.

The end is slightly abrupt and short. Otherwise a nice story told appealingly.
