Greetings, fisfall ! Thank you for entering "The Writer's Cramp - Poetry Week" !

Droughts are very scary, especially when they don't seem to go away. I visited California almost 18 years ago and I was surprised how dry it was... and not that far from the ocean.

I hadn't thought about the swimming pools! Wow, that would be a sight... seeing all those empty pools all over the place.

I liked the line:

We didn't practice conservation, when we had the chance.

And there are still people out there who don't feel the need to recycle, replant, and look out for our resources. I live on a dead end dirt road where some people bring their trash and drop it off near a wild life pond. It sickens me that those people have no guilt or remorse.
