I came across this item by clicking on the "Random Review" button.

*Carr* I must say I thought of skipping this one and moving on to another item. It isn't exactly something that grabs attention from a reviewer, as it is listed as a lesson for a particular writing class, I imagine. However, I went back to the top and gave it a second look. You know something? There's a lot that can be gleaned from these short paragraphs.

*Baretree2* I came away with the lesson I've had to learn over the past several years, "write tighter." It always needs to be in the back of a writer's mind until time for editing and then brought forward. This is where an author has to strip away all those unneeded words, copious adverbs and excessive adjectives.

*Clip* Your item was short and to the point but it also made a very good point. Today in the business world, less bloviating and more concise communication is key to getting work done rather than poring through pages of fluff to get to the point.

*Buttonv* I like that view of this lesson, which came from the link you added in about business and the newer way of writing because of Twitter and Texting. I also learned a new phrase, "weasel Words!" *Laugh*

*Frog* Well done, concise and the reader takes away an important lesson in writing.
