Title: Stone's Throw Away

First Impression: I felt the cold sadness of being alone and neglected.

What I liked: "a flicker of hope that's all but lost on me." The sadness that came to mind, the words chosen strike the reader immediately, reminding her of things in her own life. She can relate.

What needs your attention: Nothing, unless you wish to elaborate more into the story.

Favorite Parts: "It was an upbeat swing song, the kind you grab your lover for unless your arms resist." A powerful closing leaving the reader wondering what the song was that couldn't compel emotion. I felt lonely and alone as I read this.

Overall Impression: It is an excellent poem that I feel could be elaborated more. I hope you come back to this.
