Everyday Canvas [18+] Second blog -- answers to an ocean of prompts |
"SIMPLY POSITIVE GROUP" Hello there, Joy This is a Simply Positive Review. Hmm, how do I answer your question, "Do you also go, in your writing, to where the pain is?" I don't think I interpret my pain in that way. I usually reverse the painful feelings or hurt, and turn them into something humorous. In fact, there are times when the pain is really sharp, such as the loss of my mother. I don't really understand why, but at that time, I had a Comedy Newsletter to write -- it was about her and how her situational humor could make us children laugh. Not only did I write my usual newsletter, I chose two other Newsletters that month, to be a guest editor in. I guess I thought keeping busy would override the pain. So actually, I may write when I'm in pain, but I don't necessarily include my pain within the writing. My philosophy is to stay upbeat. If I write something about one's pain and suffering, it probably would be at a time I feel the opposite, I don't let my writing bring me further into the pain. When I am going through something painful, I choose to have a positive presence in my writing and reviewing. Perhaps that is the same thing? It is still pain making me write, but without my pain showing. Well, enough about painful experiences and how to interpret them within the characters profiles of one's writing. I suppose that's why I never started a blog, here. I guess I feared that my low times would be reflected on a page and compel others to comment on it in a sympathetic way. Thankfully, I don't have many low times! So perhaps I should try blogging. I'll leave going into the pain to Anne Rice. She does it so well! Great entry, Joy. You really had me thinking on this one! Keep on blogging on, girl! Regards, WebWitch My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Get CASH!" .
