It is a frank admission of what the author wants out of life. While doing that, he/she also discusses living on the edge, daring such as adventure. Some people feel that living well is to live it up. We get the definition of living to the full in the first few lines.
However, we come to know that the author's idea to live life to the full is to live according to her likes and not for what the world expects.
In my view, living life to the full is the ability to find happiness the way you conceive. For example, my definition of it consists in completing the jobs on hand around the house or anywhere else, which might be getting postponed for various reasons. The satisfaction that I get as a result of it makes my day. In making and spending time with loved ones like mom, friends or family, I find a way to live well. No man is an island. Time restraints and the busy daily routine often rob us of such simple pleasures.
The author has several issues brought up in her analyses of living it to the full.
There is no pleasure in living for self alone. On the other hand, sharing it with others makes it a complete life.
