Overall Impressions:

Almost like the golden rule, practice what you preach and be kind to others becuase that's what you'd want them to do for you.

This poem takes it a step farther and explains it' more than just a quality, it's a way of life to be nice to others and know your limits. Only you have control over your own happiness.

Conventions:

free verse poem with the stanza starting out with rhyming couplets. Adds poetic dimension to the poem.

Suggestions:

The final stanza doesn't fit towards the end in my opinion, you should move it to the beginning so the poem ends on a good note with the lesson of be kind and practice what you preach without leaving us with the negativity to think about at the end.



Favorite Parts:

I love the message you're trying to get across in this piece that practicing what you preach and kindness will get you more out of life than anything else.
