Besides being an excellent Pindaric Ode, this poem is remarkable on expressing fine sentiments on a mother's love. The reasons why a mother is supreme are shown with clarity and poetic language.
"As time goes on and you grow older-
It will be my turn to lend my shoulder."
I find this duty to serve mother is a fitting gesture of gratitude and love for all that she has done to the sons or daughters. Blessed are those who have this instinct and emotional binding towards the elderly parents.
In the rush and din of life, many forget the love and understanding that the parents and in particular the mother shows.
"Wiping the tears upon my face;
showing me how to live by chance,"
A mother's compassion and generosity have no comparison. This poem, in simple yet appealing human terms show why a mom is so lovable.
It flows well.
