Generally Speaking
Ah, don't you love it when the bad guy wins? *Wink* I love stories like this where you think one thing is going to happen and then something totally different goes down instead. I for sure thought this was going to be some sort of commentary on ethics. Like, "an eye for an eye leaves the world blind" sort of thing, you know? The title really caught my attention when I was browsing the "Read a Newbie" page. I wanted to see what the placebo of justice was all about. Awesome idea, mate!

The Good Stuff So, the good stuff would be the ending, of course. It took me a second to think about what happened, but I knew the last sentence would alter the whole story. When I looked back up and saw the "Make sure Quinn winds up in the control group" part. Then it clicked all at once and I was like riiight, got it.

Thoughts and Suggestions This is a super short story, which I appreciate because my attention span is pretty much zilch. The beginning was a bit too vague for me. The super vague well-dressed businessman and the ambiguous donation to some research thing just didn't prove as a great hook for me. I got into it for sure after reading a little bit more, but the beginning could be a bit stronger.

In Closing Overall, this was an enjoyable story. Once I got into it, I definitely wanted to see where it was going and the ending had a nice little twist. Thanks for sharing!
