I am Lorraine and I am reviewing your piece Hocus Pocus from 30 Day Picture Prompt Challenge  in affiliation with "Simply Positive Review Forum " .

Title: This poem is about magic, so hocus pocus seems like a perfectly suitable magic title. *Thumbsup*

First Impression: At first, I thought you'd taken a more liberal view on the prompt, ensuring your piece was about magic, but not really involving the image much. Then, I got to the end of the poem, and couldn't help noticing the link between "spilled water", "Glass half empty" and "puddle on the floor" with the image. Very good job and a unique response, which ensures the judges don't get bored reading the entries. Thank everything for the creativity of the authors on this site!

Flow/Form: I don't usually review poems much, so I'm definitely no expert. I can say what I enjoyed, however. The reason I chose to review this piece in particular, over some of the other entries from today, is the unique layout and appearance you've chosen for your poem. I thoroughly enjoyed reading the magicians side, and then the response the magician got, which was directly linked, yet different. The conversational style of this poem worked really well!

Rhyme: From what I can see, no rhyme.

Word Choice: As I said above, I think you've used some very clever word choice here to weave the prompt image in without using it directly. This was done brilliantly. I also enjoyed how the magician had his own words spat back at him. *Thumbsup*

Spelling/Grammar: No errors spotted!

Closing Thoughts: Thank you for the entertaining read! I gave out two 9/10s for Day 2, and you were one of them!
