What brought the Hand of THiNG to your port?

*Hand1*I saw your poem featured in the Poetry Newsletter this week and came to read. Congratulations on being selected to be in the newsletter.

What Does THiNG think about while perusing your item?

*Cool**Idea* This is a haunting poem about wanting to emulate an older sibling never realizing the horror she was living through until it befell on the younger daughter.

This is such a bad state of being to have gone through.

What does THiNG applaud about while reading your item?

The most moving part was the wish the sister had at age 13, to set the younger sibling free rather than have her go through this same horror and more at the doings of the male parental figure in the house (I am assuming there)

This is a horrible thing no child should ever have to endure. Mother should have been there and beyond besides battling her own side. That made me shiver to think mother knew.

It was quite a moving poem to survive and go on with life. I bet not everyone can do that, it takes a strong person to perservere and then to have a good life. I hope it is good, anyway. Very moving poem.
