Lovely enjoyable free verse on days of the past.
Farm activities are depicted in a series of visual images. The hard work, the restful night, transporting grain to the whole-sale store- all these occupations have a charm and great satisfaction of their own. Farmers are the best professionals when it comes to patterns of work. I envy their privilege of spending time in the open, breathing in fresh air, getting plenty of Vitamin D for free, and space to move around while engaged in farm work. In comparison the artificial setting of today for the city dwellers and employees of cyber space stand small and apart from material gain, there is nothing in it.
Simple pleasures, honest sweat and joy of life are what I perceive in this poem of "fond memories."
