This cute poem shows one of the joys of walking the road. I appreciate it because I am one of those who notice the little things around. Lines of pretty flowers that lend color to the concrete roads, the trees and the distant hills as also the clouds of blue and white floating like cotton candy in the sky,the wind that blows with either coolness or heat, little children with innocence shining on their smiling faces and a number of other things.
Imagery- Imagery of flowers with color and the setting that has the sound of life "humming" around come alive in this free verse.
Attention to details is evident in lines such as:
"Roots search the earth to quench unending thirst"
It has spontaneous flow of a natural response to the roadside flowerbeds with fresh and colorful flowers.
