*Starfishy* I couldn't help but find this poem touching. It reached my heart to the very depths.

*Boxcheck* I think it's priceless that you have these personal memoirs and writings from your mother. You will always have her near with those writings in your possession. They are a part of something that made her joyful. She loved writing and the poem makes it obvious.

*Quill* I love the fact that she so enjoyed writing, but she was hesitant in sharing them. The shyness obvious, as all writers want to feel accepted as authors of whatever they choose to pen. The critical eyes of outsiders glancing at the written work, can be intimidating.

*Teapotp* I guess, my words here, are just dancing around what I really want to say and how I feel about your poem.

*Key2* I feel the very tight bond between mother and daughter, that reaches beyond this world, for anytime we hold those mementos in our hands, it's as if they were still here with us.

*Buttont* Although my mother was not a writer, I know that I cherish every handwritten recipe of hers, and each little reminder note and shopping list that she left behind. I read them, touch the paper where her handwriting lay and smile or shed tears -- actually both.

*Doorw* Joy, this was a beautiful poem to read and such a lovely tribute to your mother. I really understand it in such a personal way.
