Greetings dblameck (David) my name is ~LifeLessons~ and I came across this story "Angel with a Broken Wing" which I found in the random review list. I love any story involving angels.



Beautiful!! I could see her, feel her pain and hear her sing. A very well written imagery. I love angels and I believe in them and once I read this I believe you do as well. You used a descriptive writing to it's fullest. I was interested all the way through. It was easy to read and with your word choices it sounded heavenly.



Sometimes as writers we go a little too far with this convention, but you stayed right on track. Angels are those creatures that surround us with love, care, and an extra watchful eye as we walk our path in life. This is what I believe.

The way she had hit the tower had caused the fragile wing bone to snap and she had fluttered down to the ground and actually into the empty fountain.

This sentence alone gave a visual for me as I could see her flutter to into the empty fountain. Choosing the an empty fountain for her landing was brilliant because it seems as though that would be a safe place. We see statues of angels on fountains and this makes me wonder, are those angels that fell from the skies. Okay a little dramatic, but we can be dramatic as writers. Thanks for letting my muse run away from me.



Your story started off right into a conflict which I love. Giving a background throughout the story as the story evolves with just enough information. It was over done and you covered all of the great conventions of a well told short story!! You got this!!
