I noticed your Title was changed to match the current contest, but there was another original title used right above the story ... "Six Breaths From October," and figured you forgot to edit that part out of the story when you changed the title to match the contest prompt. I also realize that I released the contest on a "sneak preview" in late September, thus, it may explain the early creation date prior to October 1. I will be certain to clarify this point in future contest prompts.


So, back to the story. Eek! An unborn/aborted fetus returning to reclaim its life and mother's attention, is quite a clever and creative storyline. I felt the pangs, the pain, the heartbreak and the fear, alongside the ultimate acceptance of what was happening. I loved how the tormented mother stepped-up at the end and realized what was expected of her and became its mother and protector.

Quite a chilling read!
