The metaphor of a party here is brilliant and I like how you use entertainment references like "stooges" and "Good night Gracie" in your theme about voting and politics. LOL "last call" *Smile* The last line is evocative and the vibe drops from hype to low ebb! Good job! *Thumbsup*

I wondered if the "hordes" needs to be possessive as it is their "clamour.." eg "hordes' -not sure but it struck me as a read it for meaning. Do you need a period after "undertow"?

The free flow poem was pleasure to read aloud with such flowy sounds like "campaign champagne" and alliterative words. The images are vivid and it is easy to enter the vision. Your commentary is potent and is expressed in a creative manner. I like the names of the "politcal stooges"! Genius. *Salute*
